It’s not a bad buy at 4600 but the QR25DE was kind of a dud. I’d prefer any of the earlier SE-R cars (200SX, Sentra) that came before this model buuuuuuut it’s not really a bad buy if everything is in awesome shape.

I want to like those, but it’s still a Nissan Sentra.

These things have an issue where they can - and will - overheat the front Cat under hard driving, fracturing the interior matrix. Then, due to the lack of an EGR valve, they can pull that dust back into the engine, and destroy cylinder walls. Check for anything suspicious in the oil, and see if they deleted or replaced the front Cat.
We had one, awesome car to drive, very fun on a back road with great direct steering and confidence inspiring handling.

As long as you don’t try and turbo them they are great engines. 4600 for 121K is NP if it’s mechanically sound.

They are pretty fast on a track, for FWD they had pretty good handling (for the time)

Great DD. NP, would commute regularly in one and then drive briskly at autocrosses.
